Style: Wild, Playful, Untamed Beauty Season: Spring Submitted by: Storme Makeup

"To be soft is to be powerful" ... and that's how we feel after pouring over these blushing images over the past few weeks. Intertwining elements of romance and untamed beauty, this enchanting UK bridal shoot encapsulates femininity and nature in the historic surrounds of a traditional mansion which lends a striking balance between old-world and new. The essence of this shoot is best described in Storme’s words: “I wanted something unique in the sense of standing out and not being too traditional. I wanted nature to have a voice, be involved and a free spirit to be seen.” The team went to great lengths to focus on texture and aesthetics finding hard elements such as those seen in the corset with softness as represented by the flowing skirt. The shoot took form around this theme of contrast. Set at Danesfield House in the United Kingdom, the venue has an “old worldliness” about it. Once again the hard and soft contrast comes into play with beautifully sculptured traditional gardens surrounded by tranquil and beautiful, wild English countryside. Storme says “Danesfiled house set in Buckinghamshire was the perfect backdrop for the for the shoot. We used the beautiful scenery beyond the gorgeous traditional well-kept gardens and the blossom tree was our stage. We found ourselves further down by the river later in the day which gave us a sense of being more in the wild.” From the wild moss overgrown table to the washed textures used in the stationery, every element has been meticulously crafted to complement the wild nature of its surrounds.
WE LOVE: The flow of hard and soft textural styling throughout from the cake accents and tie-dyed skirt to the stationery and intricate hairpins and vines made from freshwater pearls and handmade flowers. And we can’t resist the Cassia back drop necklace!
The bouquets are textured and playful and have a slight wildness to them. The flowers used for the arrangements are beautiful Butterfly Ranunculus, Blossom, O'Hara Rose, Poppies and Magnolia, with Twisted Birch, Eucalyptus and Trailing Jasmine Vine.

The model’s hair and makeup offer a vibrancy to the rustic feel that doesn’t overpower, but instead adds another layer of contrast. Storme provides her take on it: “Her hair is relaxed, free but still beautiful and clean, with a scene of wildness.”

The hair pieces done by P.S with Love were handmade from freshwater pearls and crystal vines, nestled amongst pretty leaf details and stunning handmade flowers. The hair accessories finished the look off, incorporating the colours embodying the essence of the theme seen throughout.
The ‘Cassia’ back drop necklace is simplistic and elegant using the same blush flowers with mixed Swarovski crystals for a subtle sparkle, ivory pearls and 14ct gold filled chain “.

By combining outdoor rustic elements, with aspects of modern styling and Kitty Wheeler Shaw’s masterful and creative photography, the team has produced a unique, and inspirational setting with ideas that will resonate with couples looking for a slightly offbeat wedding experience.
