If you and your partner are wanting to elope, you’ve probably found yourself looking at elopement packages, elopement destinations and of course an elopement checklist to understand what this micro wedding format actually entails.

Rachel Garcia and the team from Cactus and Lace Weddings have created this contemporary desert elopement purely to bring back some cheer and joy in lieu of missed summer celebrations and to show how individual styling touches can make your wedding day totally unique to you.

Rachel said: “Bold colors and fun summer vibes is everything we have been missing this past year and we’re so thrilled with the results of this vibrant shoot to inspire couples planning their elopement.”

Did you know? An elopement (also known as a runaway wedding) typically consists of you and your partner, an officiant and witnesses? If you’re after a small and intimate wedding with up to 50 guests, this is usually considered a micro wedding. For those dreaming of getting married away from home, this is usually considered a destination wedding.

Bride model Zhaire is dressed in a stunning white bridal jumpsuit from Lulus that looks incredible against the contemporary pink and pastel ceremony backdrop tying into Adam’s colorful shirt from Billy Aloha. They’ve made the styling unique to the couple showing that the only rules that apply are the ones you give yourself!

We can’t get enough of the white popsicle cart and delicious popsicles by Joy Pop which is a refreshing treat to beat the summer heat. No doubt guests will also love this thoughtful idea as well as the frosted cookies by Little Sister Big Brother Treats.

No dinner would be complete without some fine beverages and this sangria drinks set up is perhaps the pretties we've ever seen! The Front Porch bouquet have included a beautiful selection of pink flowers to suit the theme perfectly.

We Love: The sweetest little vow books from The Art of Etiquette. These message books add an extra personalized touch to the ceremony and make for a wonderful wedding keepsake.

Ruby Finch Salon kept the hair and makeup fresh and natural with a pop of pink lipstick, which complements this summery outdoor wedding. We also love how the officiant, Peachy Keen added a pastel blue dress that allows the couple to shine.

As you can see, Cactus and Lace have collated a fantastic selection of images throughout the day, with a mix of editorial and photojournalist styles capturing the day as it was.

Rachel said: “Our wedding photography style is classic as we want our couples to look back at their wedding photos in years to come and them not be dated with overly trendy editing styles. We want the couple and their love to be captured and that’s what lasts the test of time.”

Specializing in modern elopements and micro weddings outside of Las Vegas, their elopement packages take care of everything – from the planning through to on-the-day coordination and photography so couples can focus on this special time of their lives without the stress and logistical planning. Their elopement and micro wedding packages include dinner options and musicians and say that this is a great compromise if you had originally planned a huge wedding ceremony.

Creating a custom style for every couple they work with ensures no two elopements are the same. They love tailoring each wedding to the couple’s tastes; from modern minimalist to grungy and bold to bright and beautiful as we can see in this stand out desert elopement.

If you are considering a Las Vegas elopement, Cactus and Lace shared a few top tips with us:

1.    Make sure you book early, as the best weather months of October and April will fill up very fast.
2.    Consider a reduced guest list so it’s more about you two and less about entertaining your guests.
3.    Finally, book with an inclusive company that will do everything for you without the stress or hassle associated with wedding planning.

We loved taking a glimpse into this colorful desert wedding, and how an elopement can still be as unique as both of you! Thank you to the Cactus and Lace team for submitting this shoot our way!
